(PR) Benton Cacao Moist & Mild Cream Review

20:11:00

This was one of Benton's recently launched product, I am thankful I was picked among the first batch who got to try it out first. So today I will be sharing my thoughts on the cream after approx 2 weeks of on and off usage. This product is gifted so do proceed on to read only if you are comfortable and confident with me. I would only provide honest reviews, regardless it's a gifted product or not.

What is it:
• Benton's Cacao Moist And Mild Cream is a light weight cream with a velvety smooth texture.
• Contains Cacao extracts and Hyaluronic Acid to infuse a wealth of hydration to your skin.
• Various botanical extracts further provide your skin with nutrients to leave it smooth and supple.

Recommended for the following:
- Those with dry and tight skin
- Those who want to balance their skin's oil-moisture levels
- Those who want a non-aggravating means of supplying their skin with moisture
- Those whose skin has become sensitive to harmful external stimuli
- Those who want a light weight, non-sticky cream

This product claimed to be slightly acidic, ph6. This is a great pH level for sensitive skin. I can see the effort the Benton team had tried to put in by not adding any fragrances nor colourings into this product just in order to cater to sensitive skin types.

Product Highlights:
- Lightweight texture.
- Cacao Extract for dewy complexion.
- Moist finishing.
- Summer Days Friendly.
- Naturally derived Mild Cream.
- Water Oil Balance.

Active Ingredients
Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Water, Sorbitan Olivate, 1,2-Hexandiol, Pentylene Glycol, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Extract, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Polyglutamic Acid, Madecassoside, Beta-Glucan, Carbomer, Arginine, Xanthan Gum

Everything looks good up there, except for Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, which has a red flag on cosdna. Please always proceed with caution by patch testing with new products.

It comes in a tube and sealed with an aluminium foil at the opening. A tube packaging is way preferred than a tub, but getting leftovers out from this may be tricky. The packaging is a sweet baby pink. The tone matches their gentle claims.

Here's a texture swatch. In the top image, it looks quite concentrated as it's white and thick. Swiped my finger across and I realise it was very gel-ly! Honestly, I don't know if this texture would be enough for dry skin hmmmm. It's not very occlusive so for very dry skin types, it may not be enough. I have pretty oily skin and I found this very comfortable and not heavy during night time use in the air con. I haven't used this in the day time as I was scared of an oil spill. The last one shows how moist it is when spread out. It wasn't heavy!

So they had some tips on how to apply too. I tried the Nasolabial folds but I didn't see any effects hahaha! You can give it a try. Maybe need consistency to see too. Shall try the mouth and jaw one since I tend to grind my teeth alot.

Does it does what it claims?
Claim 1: Benton's Cacao Moist And Mild Cream is a light weight cream with a velvety smooth texture.
The finishing is non tacky and non sticky. It leaves a soft feeling when applied. If you have oily skin, you might wanna try using this at night only. I use it at night since the humid weather makes me sweat in the day, making it even sweaty and look oily(dirty) instead.
Claim 2: Contains Cacao extracts and Hyaluronic Acid to infuse a wealth of hydration to your skin.
I don't see much of a hydration boost honestly at this moment. I think it still requires more usage over a period in order to see. But it's true Hyaluronic Acid is great to hydrate the skin!
Claim 3: Various botanical extracts further provide your skin with nutrients to leave it smooth and supple.
I was intensively using chemical exfoliators so my skin is smooth during the period of use. I notice a couple of CCs popping out on my forehead though. Well, it's either my concealer or this cream. I will update again after more use.

Summary of product:
Packaging
Pastel pink plastic tube. Small and lightweight. Convenient to bring about. Travel friendly. Unable to see through though. So I can't tell how much it's left. Leftovers may be stuck in the tube. Only solution will be to cut it and decant into a travel size container.

Smell
~ Not much fragrance detected.

Color?
~ White but blends out colorless.

Pros
~ No adversed reactions.
~ Finishing was not sticky and not tacky.
~ The texture was lightweight when spreaded out.
~ Cooling and soft effect can be felt upon application.
~ Does not contain any alcohol and harsh ingredients.
~ Packaging and size is suitable for travelling.
~ Somehow it helped with my skin redness(over exfoliation)! I was in my sensitive or over exfoliated period and this did helped with my redness hand in hand with the mask of course! But if applied alone, not so sure if it's gonna have the exact same effect. It's like a booster in this case!
The ingredients list has a few listed irritants. You might wanna patch test first just in case.  >click this to check<

| Cons |
~ I don't see much of a big difference after adding this into my routine.
~ May had cause some CCs on my forehead.
~ Contains Shea Butter which may clog pores so be careful!

Would I buy this again?
Another no love nor hate product! I wouldn't repurchase in this case. I would prefer something with soothing and hydrating benefits. This will work great on my over exfoliated skin only. So if I get dry out cheeks from chemical exfoliation, this would come in handy. Other than that, I don't see the need for it.

Where to buy?
Benton direct site, Jolse carries it too.

 1. Another lovely review! Since I have an oily acne-prone skin, I will probably pass this product :/ Extracts will probably clog my pores and that´s what I don´t really want ...
